This isn't related to this story but, Hi i'm Kate. this is my first fully written story, though its only a short story i'm very proud of myself for fully committing to one theme and finishing it. This short story is very over dramatic and complicated because its my first story but I hope you enjoy.

"What are your summer plans?"
My teacher asks the class. My classmates respond with the basic responses, vacation, beach, and hanging out with friends. I respond with vacation, but I don't even want to go to Orange County. It's not too far from where I live, but Sana Cruz and OC is a long drive. The bell rings, that means it's summer, that means I have to spend a whole summer away and with my dad, but my friends and I have plans to go have a bonfire at the peer tonight so at least ill have that before I leave all summer.

And then, she'd get a full scholarship to her dream university. All was fairly well except for a few things like grappling her feelings towards a long-time crush. Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. A Little Story About A Man And A Woman On A Highway
This story went through several iterations. It was inspired by some traffic I was enduring while on the highway. The section I was at curved around this big hill, almost like a small mountain with grass covering the top. I had this idea I called Rearview Romance where two characters would communicate with each other by writing messages back and forth while stuck in a similar kind of traffic. In the original idea, it ended with them dancing on the hill, inspiring others to get out and just enjoy the day and life a little bit. Obviously, it's evolved since then, but this was the kernel for the original story. Also, the Gone But Not Forgotten section below are characters I had to cut from the story for various reasons. I didn't want them to be forgotten though. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the story!Complete
