Crowley slipped a piece of paper into his hand.

"Do ducks have ears? They must, how do they hear other ducks?"

It had the words 'Holy Water' scrawled on it in a chicken scratch one gets from being used to carving stone tablets instead of handling a quill. But instead of following his first instinct, to throw the paper away into the lake and storm off, he asks instead,

"Why do you even work for those men?"

(AU where Aziraphale tries his best to get Crowley to redeem himself in the eyes of God before the Armageddon. Crowley thinks he just wants him to become an angel again so head office doesn't throw a fit when they find out about their 'fraternizing'. Aziraphale is madly in love with him and just wants to date him freely.)
