Nearly two-hundred years ago, the great witch hunts began, resulting in a near-extermination of everything magic. Had it not been for the few passing on their teachings in secret, the art would've been all but lost. The people who once held the power to topple entire kingdoms, are now gone and forgotten.
But, of course, the story doesn't end there.
When Kade Adler, a poor adventurer, stumbles upon the witch of Darkwood Mound, Heather the enchantress, he is forced to make an important decision. Should he forfeit his memories, or become a mage himself and become another link in the witch's relay?
I think we all know what answer makes for the better story.
