Starting with the brutal murder of her mother and brother, Eleanor did not have the best upbringing you could say. Moving from foster home to the next Eleanor finally made her way into a loving family, Hank Voight's to be precise. From the age of 15 Eleanor, with the help of select few she turned her story into a decent one. Enrolling in a minors FBI training program, Eleanor became one of the youngest detectives the world has ever seen. Finally at the age of 25 Hank Voight creates a unit that matches her description.
Along side her, detectives become her family, but one shines a bit more brighter in that aspect. Struggling wth his past, and PTSD Jay Halstead gets lost looking in his partners eyes. A girl thats supposedly his best friend.

With a few bumps along the road will Jay and Eleanor figure it out?

When Spencer agreed to transfer to intelligence, she wasn't signing up for all the blood, sweat, tears and pain it came with. But hey, it's a package deal. Nobody is every truly a clean cop, are they? If you work under Hank Voight, you're somewhat dirty. Working in intelligence means that sometimes you have to get your hands a little bloody. A little dirty. It means that sometimes you have to cross lines. Sometimes you have to put aside your morals. Sometimes you have to flip that switch that controls your humanity and turn it off. If you don't do that, the job will eat you up and ruin you. But maybe that's why that select group of people live for that job so much. They're the ones that learned to love the pain. They're the warriors who make chicago what it is. They're the ones who built that city. They were born for it. [DISCLAIMER] I did not invent one Chicago, nor do I claim to have. I do not own the original One Chicago cast who are played by their respectable actors. I only own the rights to my independent storylines and my own characters I have created. This story based on 2 years after Erin left to go to New York to take a job to keep Bunny out of jail. I kept Alvin Olinksey alive in the story as well. At first the connection between Jay and Erin is tense but they soon find their way back into each other's lives. Also none of these characters are mine I'm borrowing them from the amazing Dick Wolf and his team to portray my own story ☺️☺️ The characters in this story: Intelligence Unit/21st District: Sergeant Hank Voight Detective Erin Lindsay Detective Jay Halstead Detective Alvin Olinskey Detective Antonio Dawson Officer Adam Ruzek Officer Kevin Atwater Officer Kim Burgess Sergeant Trudy Platt Chicago Med: Will Halstead Natalie Manning Maggie April Connor Rhodes Ethan Choi Chicago Fire: Matt Casey Kelly Severide Gabby Dawson Sylvie Brett #1 linstead 27/5/20 Please also read my other FanFiction "The beginning of Linstead"
