Kirishima and Bakugou were really close as kids but when Kirishima has to move out of town due to his parents splitting up they don't see each other for years. When Bakugou starts high school he notices that some boy has the same friendship bracelet that the kid he used to hang out with used to wear. It had been so long since he had seen him that Bakugou didn't even remember anything about him, like at all. The bracelet was the thing that reminded him that the boy even exists. Kirishima on the other hand, recognized Bakugou.

Bakugou slightly brushes it off at first but starts to get really concerned about his good friend, Kirishima. He has been trying to talk but most of the time is responded with silence. He knows that Kirishima starts to talk to Midoriya a lot more and him less. He starts to get jealous? Kirishima begins to close himself off from everyone, he doesn't even want to talk to Midoriya or Bakugou. He still goes to school, but completely ignored when someone tries to talk to him. He starts wearing his hair down, and it starts to fade to its natural color. One day the villains attack, Kirishima wants to keep everyone safe, he wants to make sure he is the only that ever gets harmed during this.
