Her cocaine habit, which has become her only coping mechanism by now, has become a full-blown addiction. The last thing Stevie needs in her life is a stalker who threatens her safety and even her life. The last thing she needs is to go on with the tour and begin a relationship with Joe Walsh. But the first thing she needs is a good dose of reality, of safety, of love, of a reminder of the old days, and person to step in and remind her of who she is, what she needs, and to save her from the danger lurking around the corner. On Monday, January 9, 2023, the four remaining members of Fleetwood Mac gather in Malibu at aa private memorial service for Christine McVie, whose death six weeks earlier shook them all to their core...particularly Stevie Nicks. As Stevie appears in Malibu to bid farewell to yet another best friend, she finds herself more anxious than sad, because two of the most important men in her life will be there, and so will their decades-long connections and conflicting emotions... Mick Fleetwood, who has made it clear to her since Christine's death that life is too short to deny oneself happiness...and happiness for Mick is to love Stevie in a way he was denied decades earlier during their brief love affair. Happily married and trying to balance their young family and their careers leads to conflict, especially as Lindsey goes off the deep end with the Tusk sound, as Stevie starts talking about flying solo for awhile to make an album of her own, as as they have drastically different opinions on the dissolution of the marriage of Christine and John McVie, and as Mick muddles through an accidental relationship with Sara Recor all the while making it clear his love for Stevie has a heartbeat...and it never really dies...
