Nikolina Astra Zor-el is the twin sister of Kara Zor-el. When their home planet Krypton is in danger, Kara and Nina are sent to Earth to protect Kal-el but the destruction waves of Krypton exploding knocked their pod off course and into the Phantom zone, where time never passes. 24 years later, both sisters end up on Earth mysteriously. Due to Kal-el growing up, the girls didn't complete their mission. A couple of scientists took Nina and Kara under their wing with Alex as their older adoptive sister. Now both girls are grown up, Kara working at Cat.co as an assistant whereas Nina is working as a doctor in National city hospital.
