Unova's soundtrack, lauded as the best in the world, is distorted the moment Lenora, an archaeologist who retired from her Gym Leader duties, makes a discovery in the Abyssal Ruins. 

Her successor, Cheren, grows anxious as his plans to secure his guest's good first impression of Unova is ruined, affecting also his student, Icosa, who is just as excited to meet her. 

Said guest is Aomine Rae, a Normal-type specialist hailing from Johto. 

The foursome must now work together to resolve the musical crisis before the regional assessment set to occur in six months. 

The more the mystery unravels, however, the less optimistic they become that peace will return before the deadline.

Right after she gained her eighth Gym badge in Unova, she had an urge to visit her home region of Kanto and her friends who live there. After visiting with her family and friends in Pallet Town, she headed to Cerulean Cape to visit Bill, who started up Crystal's PC Pokémon storage system. Bill was in the middle of an experiment and Crystal offers to help, which brings her the ability of a Ditto: the ability to change into any Pokémon. That is, with practice.
