The first thing I noticed was the air-warm, still, and humming with energy. My eyes opened, and for a moment, I just... breathed. I didn't dare move. I didn't even blink. I needed to be sure.
The soft gold glow bathed the walls of the chamber, reflecting off the polished stone floor. It was the same. Exactly the same. My heart skipped a beat, then hammered so hard I thought it might shatter the moment. But it didn't.
I was here. Azarath.
The breath I'd been holding finally escaped, and I nearly laughed-nearly. Relief swept through me, sharp and dizzying, and I pressed my palms flat against the cold stone just to steady myself. It worked. The time travel spell actually worked.
