Reece Nevermore is just an ordinary seventeen year old who's a little bit anti-social, unsure of himself and troubled...Life couldn't get any worse, right? Well, that's what he thought, until a fleet of demonic creatures attack his school and his hometown. He then shortly discovers that he's a Hydro Adept who plays an important role in a war that has gone on for centuries. Now Reece has to fight to survive and fulfill his destiny before all of mankind falls under darkness...but the pressure is just too much for him.
The end draws nearer.
Will Reece be able to put an end to the war once and for all, or will he perish like the rest of humanity?

The boy was tall, his face boyish, his stance non-threatening but an air of dread surrounded him nonetheless. He was pretty, objectively. Strong but lithe. He looked up, meeting her eyes. She looked at him impassively, and his eyes darkened as he took her in. Clearly, he saw something that piqued his interest in the same way hers had been piqued. His aura screamed predator but his stance portrayed prey. Interesting. "Oh my God, Wednesday," Enid's shrill voice interrupted her observations, but Wednesday didn't break eye contact with the strange boy. "Don't look at him!" The girl's voice was shaky with fear.
