I still remember when the world was lively and beautiful shades of green and yellows, everywhere had tall white buildings with stunning flowers and leaves growing from the balconies. A bright blue sky with the odd cloud, small rivers running alongside the ground pavements, bullet trains ran across the higher roads. You could breathe in the cedar smelling air and feel refreshed. Robots helped you by driving you to places, cooking for you or even just being your friend. The world was perfect. However 'perfect' cannot be a reality. It all changed on July 28th 2054, when the world flipped upside down. It has now been 5 years since that day. Nothing has ever been the same again. ☆I do not own the cover of this story.

It's been ten years since the fall of humanity. I was only ten years old when the zombies took over. The military told us to flee underground, explaining that it was safer. The zombies are smart, too smart. They can learn to hide themselves. Some of them disguise themselves to look like normal people. We tell them apart by checking their eyes. Zombies have enlarged pupils compared to humans. No one knows why. 🏆 3rd place in The Flames Awards Sci-Fi category 🏆3rd place in The Slayer Book Awards 🏆3rd place in The Siren's Curse Awards @ScienceFiction added The Dead Walk Among Us to their Zombies reading list.
