Celebrity life wasn't always peaches and cream with chocolate syrup on top. It was a nightmare, especially if you were the child of a celebrity. That was how eighteen-year-old, Shai Carter, felt his entire life. Born to an NBA player and supermodel, Shai rarely had an image for himself. He didn't have a life and his dreams were shut down. He was always seen as that basketball player's son or that supermodel son. Sometimes he wasn't even mentioned and went unnoticed as if he didn't exist at all. Being neglected and ignored by your parents would make any child miserable, but Shai grew accustomed to it after years of experiencing it. He was used to being invisible, but things were quick to change as he entered adulthood and finds out his status made him a target. 

Dreams are what makes a person a dreamer. Goals are what make a person work harder. Dreams and goals made her the person she was today. Seventeen-year-old, Desdemona Young, was a simple girl who sought out simple things. Coming from an unlucky family, she didn't have it all to make all her dreams come true. Though that may have discouraged others, Desdemona made sure to learn from her failures to be successful. She knew it wasn't going to be easy but it was the difficulty that made her continue. Now going on her own for the first time, Desdemona realizes that life was much harder than she expected. 

Follow Shai and Desdemona as they tackle love, family, basketball, and school during their freshmen year.

Since their Senior Year at Crystal High is coming to end, they have challenges to face. While the common challenges stresses them- such as college applications and hopes of getting chosen by their dream college- they come face another problem which brings them closer to work together and help each other out. As the bond between them grows and they come to unravel a part of each other, they end up finding comfort. But the past continues to haunt memories and they find themselves stuck with their thoughts. PLEASE READ FRESHMEN AND SOPHOMORE YEAR FIRST! To get a rainbow, you must go through rainstorms, and they saw a multitude of precipitation. Just before the sun could come out, the dark clouds had to clear up first. Instead, they grew larger. Completely free from college and doing his own thing, Shai Carter was heading down a smooth road of comfortability. He had his AAU team up and running, and his players were elite. He was the manager at the YMCA and was helping his community every chance that he could. Family was long gone and he didn't have to deal with their drama. He had a stunning wife who he loved dearly and a baby on the way. Things seemed to be going wonderful, as he wanted, until it wasn't. He was supposed to be in San Francisco playing for the Warriors but he wasn't ready for the commitment. To make matters worse, his past was making a wrap around to throw him off course. He was at the point where nothing could get under his skin, but the rain was still unbearable. Even the bad storms that refused to stop. From birth, her life had been nothing other than rainbows and sunshines. She had her slight storm and the rain poured every now and then. But there were still some clouds lingering around through her day with droplets of rain. Entering her junior year of college, Dess had finally found the appropriate time to get her life on track. Healed from the passing of her father, her journey to new beginnings was on. She was working, had a wonderful and caring husband, and a baby. Everything was just as good as it was before even with the slight changes in precipitation every now and then. But would it stay that way? A lingering question sheshe to deal with while the thunderstorms and tornadoes came her way. And as for Shamar, his life has been sunny days and rainbows.
