--on hold-- [redamancy]: the act of loving in return Dr. Spencer Reid did not need a therapist. But after the events of Tobias Hankle and his subsequent reliance on dilaudid, his friends at the BAU disagreed. For the sake of his career, his friends couldn't just send him anywhere. So Hotch picks someone trustworthy. Someone looking for new patients. Someone he knows will be discreet. His sister-in-law. Dr. Megan Brooks was not looking for love. In fact, her move from her beloved town of New York City to D.C. had been to get away from some unwanted attention. The police couldn't do anything when extravagant bouquets and long, handwritten letters showed up at her apartment, because a crime hadn't yet been committed. But her brother-in-law, Aaron, knew what he was seeing and encouraged her to move closer to he and Haley, hoping the stalker wouldn't follow. Neither of the doctors had their wishes granted. disclaimer: the characters of the criminal minds franchise and some of the inspiration for my plot (specifically, derek's plotline w his cousin cindy and season 3 episode 18 "the crossing" for the details of the case and profile) do not belong entirely to me, however meg and her storylines are completely my own, so please refrain from copying them :)
