Grian is a senior majoring in Architectural Design at his dream college, horribly burnt out and disillusioned with the system. Scar is studying to open the Scarland park he saw every time he closed his eyes. Jimmy is just trying to cope with the loss of his parents when he needed them most, trying to figure out who he is. Joel doesn't know what he wants, but he knows he needs to become someone who can stand proudly next to the person he loves. Lizzie has only ever wanted to help people, And Gem just wants to do her part to keep their crumbling world together. Their teacher, Professor Mumbo, wants nothing more than to do right by his students. So, when the opportunity for a life-changing competition arises-a chance to win full tuition from an organization called the "Watchers"-he volunteers to chaperone. No one questioned it when the bus drove off into the Pacific Northwest. No one thought to check if the GPS was working. Now, they're stranded in the wilderness, far from civilization, with no way out. OR Professor Mumbo Jumbo, Scar, Grian, Jimmy, Joel, Lizzie, and Gem to a competition in Seattle, ran by an organization called the "Watchers," which promised to pay the winners tuition in full. Things go slightly awry when Mumbo gets them all lost in the middle of the Pacific Northwest wilderness. Oopsie! (I'll make a better cover eventually, lol)

He still showed up at Grian's door every single day. Could Scar save Grian from the massive hole he'd dug for himself, or had he gone too far to come back? A swirling, silver portal appears in the middle of spawn. Bedrock begins to form under it, fading into tuff and then to grass. A single block of obsidian rises out of the middle of the circle, its edges gaining the blue tint of a diamond as it turns into an enchanting table. I look over at Notch. He looks pleased with the events, like something he planned is falling perfectly into place. Did you set this up? I mouth at him. He nods, his slight smile breaking out into a bright but ghostly grin. "I need to make sure that previous arrangements to travel to Hermitcraft are still in place," Notch begins. "To do so, I must travel away for a few weeks. In the meantime, you will be completing your last challenge. I like to call it 'Last Life'." This is the sequel to Acrylic Waves!
