Eighteen year old Eisley is just your average student, trying to make it to Julliard to become a singer. Her life seems perfect - she has great friends, family, and a boyfriend who loves her. But, her dreams are shattered when she wakes up in a hospital one morning and discovers she can no longer hear, and her parents are gone. She must carry on with her life, eventually moving to a brand new country. There, she meets Chase Murray - the lead singer of a world-famous band, and makes her first friend since becoming deaf. Since she is newly deaf, she cannot lip read or use ASL - pen and paper being her only form of communication to the outside world. She begins attending Group Love, an intensive group therapy for those who have unique disabilities/situations, where she meets some...interesting people. Trying to re-learn how to live is difficult enough - nevermind when you're a deaf singer and best friends with the world's hottest band.
Elliot Jensen and Elliot Fintry have a lot in common. They share the same name, the same house, the same school, oh and they hate each other but, as they will quickly learn, there is a fine line between love and hate.
