Luz was transported from the Magic realm to the Human realm after protecting Eda from her execution. It's been four years and shes already graduated and so has everyone in Bonesborough. Luz has fallen into a deep depression since then, not wanting to let go of her past, the same going for Amity, but in a different way, she was able to cope with the help of friends whereas Luz had to cope by herself. 
    
    One day however, Luz ends up in the Magic realm again, and that's where the story begins!
