People's skin color should never define how we treat one another. What truly matters is the heart-and we all have the same one inside. In a world full of differences, kindness is our common language. We're all just human, trying to live our best lives. I started writing this because I hate the word racism, it sounds so harsh. One word holds so much weight and power it's sickening. No one should go through this. Growing up, my grandmother taught me that there was no difference between the two colors. She treated all the kids and adults with the same respect and discipline.
