Y/n lived in Birmingham all her life. When she was 6, she met a 7 year old boy. His name was Tommy, and they soon became best friends. They saw each other almost everyday, pulling pranks on the city folks and always looking for adventure. They were always together, even when their parents didn't allow them, they'd find a way.
Y/n even went over to Tommy's house a couple of times, meeting his family.
But when y/n had just turned 11, her father told her her mother was sick. Y/n thought she would get better, so she just went on with her life like nothing was happening. Her mom passed away a year later, it was unexpected because it seemed like she was doing better. Y/n was heartbroken, her father too but he coped differently, with booze and anger.
She cried herself to sleep that night, but when she woke up she was in a car. She had asked her dad what was going on. He said they were heading to London, because he couldn't stay in that town any longer, it hurt too much.
What about a funeral for her mother? What about her home town? What about Tommy... He didn't know that they were gone and why. When will she see him again? And what will happen if they do?
