Aftermath | Fred Weasley

A boy traumatized by his past and a girl trying to run away from hers.

Hoping to leave the ghosts of her past behind, Asteria Montgomery leaves America and arrives in London looking for a fresh start. After a rough few weeks on her own, she runs into the Weasley family and they help her settle into her new environment. But no matter how comfortable Asteria gets, the chances of one of her ghosts coming to haunt her is all she thinks about at night.

Fred Weasley was supposed to die in the battle of Hogwarts. The spell that ended the life of his older brother, Percy, was meant for him. He had just gotten his brother back, and now he was gone again, this time for good. The war was rough on everyone and it took a great toll on those left behind. While everyone else seems to be finding their way back to normal life, Fred is having a hard time keeping up.

This story takes place following the events of the war in an AU where Fred survives. No hate to Percy, I just couldn't think of any other way to have Fred survive. In this story, Ron and Harry won't be becoming Aurors right after the war either. I will be trying to keep things as canon as I can, but if it doesn't go with my story I'll change it. (Also debating bringing back other characters that had been killed off)
