A short piece roughly inspired by a dream of my own, exploring sleep paralysis and a light nod to Henry Fuseli's 'The Nightmare'. I will present it live at The Edinburgh Book Festival on the 15th of August with the Citizen Collective writing group.

'passive' nightmare sans, as people called him, was trapped inside his own soul as 'currupted' nightmare sans controlled his body, spreading negativity throughout the aus. over the hundreds of years, passive has lost himself. the insanity has gotten to him. little did he know currupted has a reason to keep him trapped. he just wants to keep him safe.. but once currupted gets caught by passive's brother, dream and the creator ink, something goes wrong and the two get separated. dreams works his soul off in order to get the sane brother he once knew back. attacking and scaring off 'currupted' nightmare. as currupted continues to be attacked un the aus he tries to run to, he meets someone that's willing to listen. will passive get back to normal? will currupted get killed trying to fight for his life in the endless aus? let's see...! but I should warn you.. not all stories have happy endings~ [ WARNING!
