This is a story about a girl named Melissa Bennett, who is in love with her professor, Severus Snape. But with Severus' past, some unexpected news, and someone out to kill them, can their love and lives survive? This story takes place during the timeline of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. If you don't like Severus Snape, I respect your opinion, but I suggest you find something else to read, because this is a story based around Severus Snape, along with other characters. This story is rated Mature for language, smut, violence, and self-harm. I will put warnings up for the parts with smut and triggering situations, so you can skip it if you choose to. This is my first time writing. I know for a fact the first few chapters are pretty bad, I'm not very proud of them, but it does get better, so please don't judge this story on the first few chapters! Also, please don't be rude, but any constructive criticism is very much appreciated! Lastly, PLEASE tell me if you see a mistake anywhere! Summary: Severus Snape found some of his duties as a Death Eater particularly distasteful. Rounding up a band of rebel students trying to avoid the changing of the guard at Hogwarts wasn't nearly the worst thing he'd done, and it was possibly even the best. He is tempted to save one of his former students from an unfortunate fate as the group of students are captured by the band of Death Eaters, led by Severus. He isn't sure what game she is playing at, but he is compelled to find out. Author's note: It is my second time writing something since school, and if you enjoyed my first fan fiction, Severus Snape A Soul Undiminished, I hope you will enjoy this one as well. I will forego my standard warning for the steamy chapters and just include it here, as this story may have unplanned "steaminess" throughout that may be more adult in nature.
