The year is 1977-78, and Felix Fernsby is beginning his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Though the imfamous Harry Potter is yet to be born, whispers of the rise of Lord Voldemort are circulating the castle, and the final-year group who call themselves the Marauders are conspiring towards something big.

But Felix, along with friends Oscar, Eliza, and Slytherins Cora and Augustus have their own problems to deal with as they embark not only upon their fourth school year, but also upon deciphering a number of unusual artefacts that have been discovered around the castle. When answers just seem to lead to more questions, it seems up to them to try and get to the bottom of the mystery. What really happened to the convicted murder Solomon Khamel who was supposedly killed eight years ago? Why has the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher suddenly stopped turning up for classes? What are the mysterious circles known as wisps, and why have they now decided to reveal themselves? When a classmate begins acting strangely, they know that time is running out and get to the bottom of the mystery.

This is an entirely original and new story set in the Harry Potter universe, although certain characters, historic events and mechanics and used for plot accuracy. Any feedback or comments are wholly encouraged. I'm really hoping you enjoy reading!

Please note, I am not trying to 'ship' anyone, just write a solid magical narrative.

Four kids. Four houses. Everyone at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry believes that no friendship can exist between all four houses. Rivalries blossom between Gryffindors and Slytherins and show themselves daily. Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs make friends within their own houses. How could four kids, belonging to houses with such diverse personalities, become lasting friends? But that's exactly what happens. Four first years arrive at Hogwarts, fresh eleven-year-olds who have no idea what they're doing: Merida of Gryffindor, Jack of Slytherin, Hiccup of Hufflepuff, and Rapunzel of Ravenclaw. The boys are instantly inseparable. Merida and Jack develop a hatred to rival even that of Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. Rapunzel, the bystander, watches as the three deal with each other. Quite suddenly, in a meeting half of the school is watching, the four somehow forget their differences and can't remember them. Of course, no one thinks it will last. But first year passes, and they're still friends. Second year flies by, and nothing has changed. Third year comes and goes, and their bond is still strong. And then fourth year arrives. Something has happened over the summer. Differences are upon all four. One is hiding something, something big. Another has been acting strangely and won't let anything slip. How far will the other two go to discover the secrets? Will the miraculous friendship survive them? With Harry Potter around the school with them, nothing is the same every day!

"I write her a letter just a few short lines, and suffer death a thousand times." Asteria O'Connor, sole heir of a prestigious wizarding family, has other plans when the self-proclaimed Marauders decide to torment her and her housemates. It's about time they learned some respect towards their superiors. If there's one thing she despises more than the group of irritating boys, it's a particular one of its lead members: Sirius Black. It wasn't always like this. There was once a time when they would admire the stars together, twinkling unlike any magic they had ever seen, pointing out constellations and imagining their future. Their real future was planned the second their families met, but of course what do children know about the reality of romance? Sadly Slytherins and Gryffindors aren't destined to be friends. Quite the opposite, in fact. It was never said aloud or seen written down, but the rule was engraved in the small unseen stitching of their house crests. They're no exception. So, they call each other enemies. However, I think we all know that is very unlikely to stay true for very long. WARNING: EXTREMELY SLOW BURN
