Accepted into the hottest new reality show, Ayana's life is changed in so many ways. But a normal life was never something she was striving for. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been chosen as its 23rd contestant.

Fifteen-year-old Ayana Johnson has considered herself many things, a misfit, a analytical genius, even an unemotional bad girl at some points, sometimes thinking herself too complicated to understand. But most of all, she's tired of being hindered by her sheltered lifestyle, always indulging into a new form of escapism. So after watching her audition video, celebrity host Chris Mclean decides to make a last minute exception and adds her to his show - Total Drama Island. Shortly after arriving, it's made very clear that this isn't any ordinary tv show, with even less ordinary people. Different as they may be, they all share the same goal: surviving the most extreme challenges known to man during their eight week stay at the most disgusting, rundown, insect-infested place on earth - Camp Wawanakwa.

And so begins the story of a lifetime.
