Beatrice lost her family when she was 10 and put in an all girls orphanage in Miami. She can't take being in the city her family died, so at age 16 she moves to Chicago. Before she leaves she gets a gift from the orphanage guardian.
Beatrice changes her name to Tris for her new start. Tris isn't shy at all and says what she feels to those she can't stand.
What happens when she runs into an enemy at James High School? What's her future going to be like when everyone knows her secret?
