In a new city, Sam is hunted on all sides by those who slay things like him without mercy. Sam hides among them, searching for answers while he assists them with trying to track something that is hiding right under their noses. But as he gets closer to their secrets, and their daughter, his own secrets risk coming out. His curse attracts even greater threats that rest beneath the city, in a dark, hidden place, that might destroy them all.
When he was still human, he thought monsters were myths... legends. But now he has to study those old legends to try and figure out what exactly is hiding behind his eyes. His fears begin to swell and overtake his fake life as he slowly realizes... what he's carrying inside is maybe something much older, and way more dangerous than any of them is prepared to face.
