" Last night I wished we never knew each other. I'd rather not exist to Preston King than mean something to him, truly out of the fear of rejection and hurt, but the truth is I don't think I could be nobody to Preston as much as he can't be nobody to me. "

There were more reasons why I hated Preston, not just the fact he was arrogant and conceited.

I was drawn to him like every girl on Luceria Boarding school's campus. I hated the fact I thought he had something unique about him, I hated that he was smart, I hated how he carried himself like he didn't care, I hated that I had a tiny crush on him, and most of all I hated the fact I knew I could never have him.

He was my enemy. We weren't meant to love each other.
........................

Preston King, the man that has it all, which only feeds his overly confident charming attitude. With the ability to buy anything and get anyone he wants, he finds himself only caring to get one thing, Gwen Hearst. The problem is, will she let him have her?

Gwen Hearst, the girl smarter than anyone at Luceria. While she's self assured she finds herself getting nervous around the only person she can't stand. Her hatred for Preston King flourishing by the day over the growing crush she has for him.

Although, they've never been able to sort out their differences. With the rivalry for four years there's no way they could get along after their families sign a contract together, right?

Soleil Dubois was the sweetest person you could ever meet. Her name meant 'sun' in French and that was exactly what she was. Sunshine. But don't let that sweet personality fool you because she was sarcastic and had the mouth of a sailor. Cursed like one too. She was still grieving from the loss of her mother, along with her older brother, Lucas who wasn't doing too well either, but they had decided that some things were meant to let go of, and their mother's death was one of those things. And in order for that to happen, they decided to sign up for an exchange program that would be happening in their rival school; NorthFields Academy. The school that most of their competitions were held against, but the biggest one was Football. Every semester, NorthFields Academy and SouthFields Academy played against eachother, and the one who got the most goals by the end of the year would win trophies, more fame and money. That's when Elias Morano came in. He was the captain of the football team of NorthFields Academy and despised Lucas with all his heart. Their feelings were mutual for eachother, but for some reason, his eyes were always on Soleil, the one girl that hated him as well. The one girl he couldn't have. Why her out of everyone? And feelings build up when Soleil goes to NorthFields Academy for a month and a half to complete the exchange program. What's worse is that those football games would be more often and both schools would be playing against eachother. The worst thing is that Elias and Soleil are assigned together for the program, meaning they have to spend more time together. Soleil soon realises that what she feels for Elias isn't hate, its something more than that. But she can't do anything, can she? He is her brother's rival after all.

That one tough seventeen year old kid to not ever mess with unless you want to look deformed for the rest of your life. Robin didn't mess with shit. He had girls fawning over him every step he went. Not that it bothered him. Finney Blake bothered him, Finney just did with his annoying laugh and stupid smirk he had at parties when he as was high. Robin just didn't mess with Finney, like ever. And Finney didn't mess with him... Well until they got sent to Brookesville Boarding School, that's when he just wanted to mess with him... "The answer is 'A,'" I say, keeping my voice light and kind. Carter snorts from beside me. "No, it's 'C.'" Bingo. I was hoping he'd say that. "The question clearly asks you to round to the nearest tenth. If I'm not mistaken, which I don't believe I am, answer 'C' has two decimal places." I smirk as his mouth twitches into a frown. We're still standing. "Very well, Miss. Jones," Mr. Neilson says, projecting another question. "I can't stand you," Carter mumbles in my ear. I turn my head towards him, pressing my lips against his ear. "Then sit the fuck down, Conners," I whisper. "I'm winning." ... Fairridge Prep is for the best of the best. Sadie Jones, stubborn and clever, is set on being the best. Returning from winter break feeling, more so than ever, that she has stolen her sister's dream, Sadie is determined to spend the rest of Junior year proving that she deserves everything she's worked towards. Carter Conners, notorious flirt (only when it comes to Sadie), will do anything it takes to not spend the rest of his life working at his parents' diner. Whether it's running for the track team or debating, Carter is always competing, and competing to win. Sadie and Carter have been rivals since freshman year, constantly bickering and trying to best each other. But when the rivals are thrown into a week long debate competition that, along with getting the top spot on the Principal's List, will guarantee one of them the title of Valedictorian next year, they find themselves enjoying each other's company more than they would've ever expected. And it leaves them wondering: "Do we really hate each other?"
