The Medium
Seventeen year-old spirit medium Emily Chambers has a problem. Actually, she has several. As if seeing dead people isn't a big enough social disadvantage, she also has to contend with an escaped demon and a handsome ghost with a secret past. And then there's the question of her parentage. Being born an entire year after her father's death (yes, a year) and without the pale skin of other respectable English ladies, Emily is as much a mystery as the dead boy assigned to her. Jacob Beaufort's spirit has been unable to crossover since his death several months ago. It might have something to do with the fact he was murdered. Or it might not. All he knows is, he has been assigned by the Otherworld's administrators to a girl named Emily. A girl who can see and touch him. A girl who released a shape-shifting demon into the mortal realm. Together they must send the demon back before it wreaks havoc on London. It should be a simple assignment, but they soon learn there's nothing simple when a live girl and a dead boy fall in love. THE MEDIUM is the first book in the Emily Chambers Spirit Medium trilogy. Yes, that's *trilogy* - meaning not everything will be wrapped up nicely at the end of The Medium. There are 2 more books after it, both of which are published. Check out my website for details.Concluída
I Accidentally Summoned a Demon
"I know you're a virgin but have you never been touched?" He asked, sliding his other hand down onto her leg. "What makes you say that?" Kat breathed, bracing her hands on the counter. "You react like someone who's never felt another's touch," Nex whispered, slipping his thumb under the band of her shorts. "So, have you not?" Kat opened her mouth to speak but stopped when his hand slid up from her leg, gliding up her stomach and stopping just below her breast. "Not even here?" He asked, following the curve of her breast with one finger, not touching, staying just below as he dragged it back and forth. "What about here?" He asked, sliding his hand down from her ribs to the bottom of her shorts then around to her butt, fingers nearly grazing it as he inched them up, under her pajamas. "I can say with certainty, never here," he said, lowering his other hand under the waistband of her shorts, touching the top of her underwear. "No, you've definitely never felt that before. I can hear your heart racing, I can feel your breathing, I can smell your body responding like it's never experienced these sensations before," he whispered, sliding a finger just underneath the band. "Should I answer its call?" #1 in demons on 6/15 -6/17/20! Again on 6/20 and 6/22-6/23! Sweet and innocent Katherine has a routine and is a little tightly wound. She was simply trying to rehearse lines for an audition. Next thing she knows, she's reading out loud her Latin lines and suddenly someone appears, claiming to be a demon she summoned to kill someone for her. Turns out demons can be hot. And he's getting pissed off she won't give him a name so he can kill and go home. The problem is, pissed off turns into something else and before he knows it, he wants to take away some of that innocence and loosen her up, or better yet, tie her up make her his. He drew closer to the terrified woman, closing off any chance of escape. "I do not need help from the likes of you." He pressed his palms against the wall on each side of the shivering woman, and leaned in, whispering in her ear, "Oh, I will punish you, and you will beg for death, long before I grant it to you." He pulled back to look at her frightened face. "Worry not, I will let you watch this man you love so much suffer and die before I end you."Concluída
Never
Life hasn't been simple for Lois in a long time - little did she know she was born complicated - her whole family were. Sometimes things happen for a reason, I mean if she didn't have Jessie inside of her (a reincarnated ghost) she'd probably never meet her soul mate Aiden or be able to help out Cameron the ruler of the dark part to the Afterlife; then again neither he or Aiden are the true rulers no that title belongs to someone else. The true leader manipulated Cameron, so now he basically has an army of ghosts willing, to destroy Earth and the whole of Afterlife so he can reshape it to his liking. As usual those who can see the dead seem to get sucked into the havoc, Lois and her friends are about to embark on a journey to save Earth, the Afterlife and possibly free Cameron...who knows you'll have to read it to find out. Oh and add soul mates into the mix and family - lovely recipe this. *Images used in the cover belong to their rightful owners, no copyright infringement intended*Concluída
Let Me In
She thought it was a nightmare. A shadow, a presence that tormented her in the dark of night. The pain was real-too real. But when she wakes up, bruised and broken, there's no trace of the creature that hurt her. No explanation for the terror that still clings to her. Until she uncovers the truth: the thing that attacked her wasn't a demon-it was someone who can manipulate reality, someone who hides in the shadows, a man with dangerous ties. And he's not done with her yet. As she struggles to heal from the trauma, she faces a choice: confront him, or let him haunt her forever. But the deeper she dives into the darkness, the more she's forced to question what she's willing to sacrifice to stop him-and what the true cost of vengeance really is. In a world where the line between reality and nightmare blurs, will she find the strength to fight back? Or will the darkness consume her before she can escape?
Singed - My demon
A happy childhood, a so-so adolescence. Then adulthood arrived, and everything went to hell. And by everything, I mean it. Grown-up life is truly a wonderful, dazzling adventure! A job that drains your soul, stripping away any will to live while fueling a more or less justified homicidal instinct; depression knocking at the door with a lovely bouquet of red roses and, last but not least, the remnants of a social life buried somewhere under my shoes. Not the ones I'm wearing now; those are slippers, big difference. I mean the pretty ones in the cabinet that I haven't touched in five years. Love can be destructive. It catches you, ensnares you, devours you, and if you're unlucky enough, it leaves you standing in nothing but your underwear before reducing you to ashes. I had made peace with my "and she lived single, forever unhappy but safe" fate. A house, one, four, eight, maybe twenty cats and a future as flat as a heart monitor that's given up the ghost. No joys, minimal suffering, because there's only so much a heart can take before it calls it quits. And honestly? Fuck it, I'd been through enough. ... But he changed everything. In the worst, most terrifying way possible. From this abyss, I may never climb back out.
