Emilia Castro was 5 years old when she was put into foster care, 5 years later she is adopted by the "loving" parents of John and Marisa. When Emilia turns 12 her verbal abuse turns physical. Throughout middle school and high school, she wished someone would notice, but they don't. Emilia is stuck taking care of school, her job, and the aftermath of disobeying her "parents".

Elijah Marcos has been living in the same town since he can remember. That doesn't mean it's all sunshine and rainbows. Elijah's mom left when he was just 4 years old, That caused his dad to drink and teach him football and how to fight. A weird combination between the two. Elijah is to pursue his football career after high school. That means no slacking off for no one. That is until he meets the one and only hothead and feisty Emilia Castro.

This is a teen romance, It's kind of slow in the beginning but it gets better.
