Emilia Castro was 5 years old when she was put into foster care, 5 years later she is adopted by the "loving" parents of John and Marisa. When Emilia turns 12 her verbal abuse turns physical. Throughout middle school and high school, she wished someone would notice, but they don't. Emilia is stuck taking care of school, her job, and the aftermath of disobeying her "parents".
Elijah Marcos has been living in the same town since he can remember. That doesn't mean it's all sunshine and rainbows. This book needs editing, the first chapters aren't very good, but the story gets better as you read on! There was only one thing that Amelia White needed to do. Be invisible and never draw the attention of five boys. She has been avoiding them ever since she knew who they were, and she's not planning to be part of the game those boys play. At least, that was the plan until her feet changed it for her. Bumping into Caine Williams is not exactly the way you stay unnoticeable for those boys. She detests an emotionless, narcissistic, and selfish asshole. He's the most attractive boy she's ever seen, but he has a terrible personality. Everything just seems like a joke to him. Hopefully, this journey of heated conversations and stupid fights turns out to be positive, and there's no need for any more hearts to shatter. Nevertheless, bad boys are unpredictable and dangerous, and there will be no insurance for broken hearts and unfixable relationships. But there's no need for insurance if the hate Amelia feels towards him is stronger than the tiny piece of possible love she feels in her heart, right? Caine will definitely regret opening the chase on her when he finds out it's not worth it. At least, that was what Amelia thought. Bumping into Caine Williams was certainly not the plan.
