Katlyn Mayfield, or as she preferred Lyn, has been selected for an opportunity of a lifetime. She will become an exchange student for the planet of Epsilion. Four years ago, the Epsilions reached out, Earth's first contact with the extraterrestrial. In order to strengthen bonds, a program was devised, twelve humans would go to Epsilion, and twelve, Krelks, the dominant race on Epsilion, would come to earth. It seemed like it was but some didn't want it to happen, they believed they were better off without the other, on both sides. Lyn must navigate through an entirely new world while trying to stay alive, let alone help both planets. With newfound abilities, friends, and invisible enemies, she must survive. Will she make it a year or die trying?

Desperate to reconnect with her family, Kamella decides to use the powers that she has to become a villain named Blinq, just to get attention from her family. But life is already hard. Heading into her senior year in high school, trying to keep her crush away from the stupid boys she keeps dating, fending off suitors of her own, and then meeting other heroes and villains certainly keeps her on her toes. How much of a mess can she make, and will she be able to clean it up? This is being written for the Open Novella Contest 2024, for prompt #87: You come from a family of highly respected heroes. All three of your big brothers are known as powerhouses, but you rarely see them since they're always saving the city. While June didn't volunteer for this mission she was best suited for it. The Mars Frontier CEO believe he made the right choice in picking June. She and a group of other young people where pick solely for their skills and smarts while the others volunteer. June and 8 others were hand pick for reasons unknown to them but soon they will know why.
