    He's been different all his life and not in the sense that something about him was special to him like any other kid. No, he was unique. There was something off about him that set him a part from the rest of kids growing up and only his best friend knew what that was. He trusted him with everything - his life, all his secrets, and more. So, when his uniqueness starts changing, logically he goes to the one he tells all to. Together they can handle anything.
