The Fifth Age dawns. The Eldar are gone, Sauron is vanquished, and all that remain are the kingdoms of men rising slowly higher into the future. To the south, industry churns in the city of Minas Dant. On the borderlands brew the seeds of a conflict unknown to Arda since before the Fourth Age.

Tiel's messed up again. And he's running out of options. The Guild's only good to him when it helps them-otherwise, they wouldn't spend time on him: brutish, broke, and unstable. But the path ahead gets narrower and narrower. One day, he'll find that he's slipped just too far to come back. Or has he always been this irredeemable?

Far on the other end of the sea, Haldanáro wakes up. Twenty years after his Return from the Halls of Mandos, he has yet to know either memory or identity. Rattled by taunting dreams, he takes a gambit-and opens his eyes to a new world.

Yet the future is closing. Arda shakes and tremors; a war is coming. And they may already be out of time.

COMPLETED story with a SEQUEL; "A Permanent Lineage" *Over 34+ chapters overall! "...She had dreamt of what his lips would feel and taste like for literally centuries and they didn't disappoint. The first touch of her lips on his was like a taste of water after years in the desert..." The war of the ring is over. Lady Arden of Ardor belongs to an ancient line of powerful half-breed Elves. Rumors hint at what their powers could possibly entail but no one knows for sure. Some say they are clairvoyant and others proclaim them to be shapeshifters. Many say both. One thing is for sure; all of Middle Earth fears them. But the war could not have been won without their aid and now the cursed line is asking for acceptance. No longer do they want to wander the forests endlessly, moving from kingdom to kingdom as permanent nomads. Now they call for a meeting between the fellowships' 5 bloodlines, requesting a permanent lineage and kingdom. There are just 2 problems that hinder lady Arden from finally receiving the honor her and her kin deserve. 1. The kingdom they wish to call theirs borders Mirkwood forest. 2. The king of Mirkwood is not so inclined on being neighbors with cursed creatures, especially their queen. Raised to look down upon anything not of full elvish form, Thranduil is enraged by the audacity of the creature and her people who have plagued his borders for centuries. However many do not know that the 2 were once inseparable. Long ago the 2 elvish races lived in peace until tragedy struck. Ever since then, Thranduil has hated Arden and her people with a passion. When it comes down to the last vote, it is none other than Thranduil who holds their future in his hands. Will he take advantage of Arden in the process of deciding? Will Arden finally be able to change his mind and in the end gain something more eternal than a legacy? Do We Let Them Stand Alone? by JenikaFoust
40 parts Ongoing Mature
Galadriel has seen more war in five years than most would experience in a lifetime. She and her brother, Finrod, commanded the Great War's most elite death squad: the Loriens. Together they completed untold thousands of missions, destroying some of the Enemy's most valuable strongholds and weapons. In the last crucial battle of the War, Finrod was killed by Sauron, an Enemy lieutenant of reputed cruelty on and off the battlefield. Morgoth was killed in the same battle, and the Loriens were sent home. Galadriel and her commandos were expected to re-assimilate with the civilian population. Galadriel has struggled to adapt for months; but with her brother gone and so many of the Enemy soldiers, including Sauron, at large, how can she put down the weapons that have kept her safe for so long? Halbrand finally makes his way north to take refuge in the great city of Lindon, where a chance encounter with a half-elf lord puts him directly into the path of Galadriel. He's done fighting. It's time to atone for his misdeeds. If his identity is exposed, can he make the person who matters most to him understand? The two journey to the Southlands, where an orc father is pursuing a secret of his own. What is Adar hunting? That's a lot of very dramatic questions for a single description. All that cinematic fluff aside, I hope you'll take a look at my original fiction piece, as it has cost me many brain cells and many hours of sleep. #2 in haladriel trying to get in the top 100 of the lordoftherings tag but I keep topping out really close to 100...one day...

When dreams stop being dreams, things get confusing. Anna is back - back in a place she once thought was just a product of her imagination. The silvery locks, bluish-grey eyes, and the pointed ears prove that much. Her dreams were memories. The same memories that led up to her death... well, her first death, before she slipped through a crack in the Halls of Mandos. Ash, blood, and fire haunt her, the sounds of a dying, burning city echoing in her head whenever she tries to rest. Coming back from death is never easy. Death leaves scars on one's very soul, but who better to heal those wounds than the company of her kin? There's only one problem. Returning to her kin in Arda means facing the elf she sacrificed her life for. The one whose heart she broke all those years ago. But she doesn't have an option to stay away. Every day the call of the sea grows stronger for him, and it's not his time just yet. He is their emissary, and it's time they finally gave something back. Even if that something happens to be the love he's convinced he lost years ago. I also don't own Lord of the Rings - this is called a fanfiction for a reason.
