Sir Pentious has an experiment to do, but he needs a bit more to the genetic pool than he has. Thankfully he's found the perfect specimen; too bad the man is one of Hell's most dangerous Mafioso's. After the man agrees to take part, Pentious finds himself falling in love with the spider FAST. But keeping his safe reputation and finishing the experiment are more important, right? Arackniss practically controls everything in the Family, and so it's no wonder that after 50 years, or so, he'd be stressed. Meeting an insane snake was the last thing he thought he needed, but the more time he spends with the man, the more he finds out about himself. Falling for Pentious is a mistake, especially with a skimmer on the loose trying to take him down. This relationship could get them cleansed, so why does ending it scare him so much?

In the chaotic world of Hell, an unexpected romance blossoms between a mafia spider demon and a Victorian snake demon. When Sir Pentious stumbles upon an injured Arackniss, he makes the uncharacteristic decision to help him instead of leaving him to his fate. Arackniss awakens in a comfortable bed, wrapped in bandages, and is surprised to see his unlikely savior tending to his wounds. As the days pass, Arackniss finds himself drawn to Sir Pentious, and what starts as an act of compassion soon evolves into something deeper. Can love truly thrive in such a perilous place?
