Toussaint has become overrun with evil storybook characters, as best described by the public. As more and more sitings begin to be reported, Yennefer and Ciri find themselves heading to the Land of a Thousand Fables at the request of Anna Henrietta, The Duchess of Toussaint.
On their journey they meet Keira Metz, who is withholding many secrets including why she's there in the first place.
