All nineteen year old Ella wants is to escape the marriage her parents arranged and be able to be free and make her own choices, rather than feeling like a caged bird. But it's hard to escape when all eyes are always watching you.
One day, Ella runs into a man who claims that he has created a time machine. Figuring that she has nothing to lose, Ella volunteers to try it out. It is discovered that the time machine does indeed work, and she is transported into the 21st century.
Everything about it is different from the 1600's, and it's difficult for her to get accustomed to everything. While in the future, she meets Victor, a guy with an interesting, rock n' roll personality. As Ella becomes more used to the newness of everything, and becomes closer with Victor, she has to decide whether she wants to return to her time period or stay in the 21st century - for good.
*Amelia writes from the POV of Ella, Kristin writes from the POV of Max.
