The nation of Illéa was looking forward to their Crown Princess, Helena Schreave, taking her rightful place on the throne. But when the Princess decided to marry instead, to a Crown Prince of another nation, Illéa is left with her younger sister, Charlotte, to take her place. But the younger Princess needed more time, as she had not been groomed for the role of Queen. Now after years of grooming to become Illéa's new Queen, Princess Charlotte follows tradition and hosts a Selection. Inviting 35 men to the castle to compete for her hand.

And among the 35 is Levi Hernandez. The unconventional choice for the role of King and husband. Everyone knows he shouldn't have been accepted. The veteran, tattooed, car mechanic knows he shouldn't be there either.

But little does everyone know Charlotte picked his application. She knew he wasn't going to be her family's first choice, especially her father's. Maybe it was purely out of rebellion, or maybe it was because something about him caught her eye, but whatever it was, he's there, and Charlotte's the only one willing to give him a chance.

The Selection Fan Fiction "I, Clarissa Dossen, will never be free from the cage of other people's choices." Clarissa Dossen is a 17 year old girl sent to The Fraussen Prestige Institute, a boarding school for the rich and famous kids of Sarroine. Her mom has devoted herself to a lifestyle of the utmost leisure and fame; Clarissa's dad, however, is down to earth and kind. In her young country, Sarroine, everyone is labeled. The Prestige are rich and famous, with the Royalty slightly above. The Elite have the wealth of a prestige, but not the fame, and the Modest barely make ends meet. But greatly looked down upon are the Unlabeled. They are such a disgrace to the country that they are ignored. Clarissa believes that these boundaries shouldn't be in place, and when put in a powerful position, she struggles between loyalty to her family and loyalty to her beliefs. What happens when Clarissa realizes she has been selected for a competition she doesn't want to be in? Will she ever want to be a contender in The Selection? Will Prince Alexander win her heart? Labeled follows Clarissa through a tumultuous and romantic journey of self-discovery and development with all the beauty and pomp of the original Selection. Her world is called Sarrione, which is what King Maxon and Queen America re-named the country after dismantling the caste system which their son hastily put back into place through the Labels. They are the current Prince's grandparents. *the idea of the Selection, inspiration for the plot, and the characters of Queen America and King Maxon are not original, all credit goes to Kiera Cass. 15 parts Ongoing
In a world where The Selection never existed, the Schreave royal children-Prince Maxon and his younger sister, Princess Evelyn-are raised with the expectation of choosing their own spouses. King Clarkson and Queen Amberly still rule Illéa with a firm yet beloved presence, and the future of the monarchy rests on Maxon's shoulders. However, without The Selection to guide him, Maxon faces political pressure from the advisors and nobility to choose a strategic marriage, while Evelyn-spirited, intelligent, and somewhat rebellious-wants nothing to do with tradition. Meanwhile, in the background, America Singer, a musician from the lower castes, still catches Maxon's eye in an unexpected encounter at the palace during an event. Without the structured Selection process, their romance unfolds more naturally-though it is no less complicated, especially with Aspen Leger still in the picture. The lack of a formal Selection also means that other noble families are actively vying for Maxon's attention, leading to court intrigue, jealousy, and political maneuvering. Evelyn, on the other hand, is determined to forge her own path, possibly seeking love outside of noble circles, much to her parents' dismay. She forms an unlikely friendship with Marlee Tames, a young noblewoman who sympathizes with her frustration over courtly expectations, and together they challenge Illéa's rigid customs. As tensions rise within the palace-especially with rebels growing bolder-Maxon must decide whether to follow his heart or choose duty, while Evelyn fights for her own version of freedom.
