Charlotte Moore, or Lottie for friends, is a seventeen-year-old girl who lives in Radcliff, a small town in Oregon. Shy, reserved and with a big heart, she only wants to enjoy the rest of her teenage years to the fullest along with her friends, follow her dream as a writer, and maybe go through new experiences such as falling in love for the first time.

Jasper Collins is your typical bad boy with a hard childhood and who has just arrived with his family from Phoenix. Mysterious, bad-tempered, and rebellious, he prefers to break the rules, do anything he wants, and keep an unbreakable wall around him when actually he is more than he seems to be.

What will happen when these two run into each other? Will love blossom? Will Lottie break his shell? Or will she be the one getting out broken?
