Moments that define us
I can remember the fear of the tree falling in front of my car, after it was struck by lightning. I can remember how it felt, cold rain on a summer afternoon pounded on my skin as I stepped out of my car. I was headed home to my parents house after graduating college. I remember the security I felt when he showed up, and told me everything would be okay, and to stay in my car. I remember the rain stopping and him getting to work removing the tree. I remember when his gray eyes looked into my green ones, as he woke me up to tell me it was clear. I remember my heart never beat the same after him.Concluida
Marriage first, then love
He did not love her. It was a loveless marriage to him. In his eyes, she is just a burden who cooks food for him. And in return, he will earn money and place it in her bank account. But she fell for him the moment she had laid eyes on him. It was love at first sight. She would lovingly cook him breakfast, but he would not even glance at her in the morning. In attempts to get him to glance at her, she fooled and embarrassed herself in front of him. She was close to giving up. A small part of her had hoped someday he would change the way he views her. But the fragment of hope diminishes very quickly. Little did she know that one simple action will cause everything to change. That one day he going to start feeling something for her, when her heart is broken. That he is going to start feeling something for her, with a dark past. Will she have to continue to wonder whether it will always be a loveless marriage or a new journey where they fall in love with each other together instead of one-sided love. My dear friend, my parents are divorced. Maybe I should say that. For most times of the year, I'd stay with my mother, through the seasons of summer, winter and autumn. But when spring casted it's pollen and petals, I made my way to my fathers house to spend my entire spring break. It was the only season Dad had time to take care of me. Though, it's not just visiting my father I always look forward to. No, because in his house on in an annexed room lies the the blossoming of my very first love.
