Quick trigger warning - theres a brief mention of suicide and eating disorders in this story along with emotional, sexual, verbal and mental abuse which is shown/brought up quite a lot in this story and it may be quite descriptive and detailed so please keep that in mind before and whilst reading.

This is a story of a girl who has been through a traumatic relationship. It will go back and forth each chapter from her being with her therapist, to the actual experience she is explaining to the therapist. I apologise in advance if it gets confusing. Eventually it will start to include her life outside of the therapy sessions.

Kylie is 19. It's been almost two years since the break up, but she still feels broken. Like not quite everything has healed in these past two years. She's struggling, hurting, feeling incapable of accepting what has happened and what she will never get in return for all of the trauma. She doesn't want her ex back and she doesn't miss her but she can't shake the trauma she's been left with. The therapist is her last resort, she's hanging on by a thread.

Diana is falling apart at the seams. After she graduates high school, her parents kick her off their insurance and, no longer able to afford her medication for her bipolar disorder, turns to street drugs as a relief. Nobody in her life is in a rush to get her out of it. Then she overdoses. She ends up in a hospital, because she's terrified if she doesn't, she'll go to jail. While she's there, Diana meets a number of women who have all been abandoned to the system like her, and people she would normally hate become close, if temporary, friends. With their help, recovery doesn't seem so far away, after all. I don't know what's wrong with wattpad, tags are broken and I can't add any more than I already have, so here are some content warnings: attempted suicide, drug overdose (heroin), drug use, self harm (cutting), eating disorder mention (bulimia), implied past sexual assault, victim blaming, psychosis, hallucinations, ocd, bipolar disorder, forced medication, psychiatric hospital
