"It's complicated, (y/n)." He finally said, his back still turned towards me. "What..? How is it complicated? It's just a simple yes or no, Del!" I said, my voice grew louder with every word as I took a couple steps towards him. He turned to look at me "It just is, (y/n)! I can't say anything else about it!" Del snapped back at me. I scoffed and crossed my arms. "I can't be with you, a relationship will just get in the way.." So, is that how he really feels? Did all I do is get in the way? I got lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice tears forming in my eyes.
"Please don't cry, (y/n).." His voice was softer, and more gentle. Del then put his hand on my arm and pulled me in for a hug. I didn't hug back. "If that is how you really feel, then I can't be here any longer.. I fell in love with you and being here will only put me through pain because I would have to see you everyday.." I look up at him, "I hope you understand that." I said softly and gently pushed him away, turning around and walking out of the house.
