Nyla has just about everything... Everything that is toxic, that is. A toxic boyfriend, who will hurt himself if she leaves him. A toxic family, who wants her to marry a rich boy of their choosing. A toxic mental state, who begs her to just disappear for a few years. Toxic everything. That is, until Yumi comes along. Yumi has a new and positive outlook on life that Nyla has never seen before. After getting paired together for a school project, Nyla finds herself in a position that she never imagined she would be in.
Yumi has never been the cool girl. That is, until coming to Boulder Prep. At Boulder Prep everyone has flocked to her. Popularity, followers, and boys. Not that she's ever wanted any of those things. After recently coming out as a lesbian to her family, Yumi's been trying to find a sense of normal. So when Nyla comes in to her life and shows her anything but normal, she's more hesitant to latch on.
However, despite their differences, these girls can't help but notice something that brings them closer and shows their similarities. Will these girls be able to find a new normal together, or will they forever be in the cage that they're trapped in?
Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd)
Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
