It is now modern day, Mobius. Sonic, who is still at the young age of 19, is going out for a year anniversary dinner with his girlfriend, Princess Sally Acorn. After a successful evening, the two pick the wrong day for a stroll. 

Sally and Sonic are randomly attacked in the middle of a crowded park. An unknown team of agents capture Sonic, along with Sally and Silver. Why are they taken? And who are these agents? 


But they don't know... There is more to this attack than meets the eye.

Now while the King left his rightful place to lead the fight against Eggman, he had to bring someone to protect Sally when he couldn't. He brought upon them, Sonic the Hedgehog.
