This is my version of Purple Hearts, this story picks up a few months into Luke's deployment and it explores Cassie and Luke's relationships in a lot more depth

DISCLAIMER: The Characters do not belong to me. However, the story lines, timeline, events, dialogue, and characterizations are a mix of my own and what has already been established or said in the movie. I have changed and omitted some events, characteristics, history, and the timeline. Additionally, I am NOT a doctor and I know nothing about the military or the Marine Corps, but I do like to do a lot of research about the topics I write about in an effort to try and make this story realistic from a medical perspective and a military perspective, but once again I am not a doctor and I know nothing about the military. I am doing research though to draw inspiration for my story and to try to keep it as realistic as possible but this is a fictional story and is purely for entertainment purpose only.

You've always had an interest in androids ever since you were a child. The very thought that technology could create an intelligent life-form that looked just like a human always fascinated you. You quickly became a high ranking student, at one of the top universities for Android studies. To further your training, you were sent for work experience at Detroit City Police Department, and paired up with Lieutenant Anderson and an android named Connor. As you continue to work alongside Hank and Connor, you soon begin to learn things about androids you never noticed before. You also realize that you are finding yourself falling in love with the one person you are not supposed to fall in love with. 'Purple Hearts' puts a unique spin on the events of Detroit Become Human, showing the story of what is behind the scenes, the true feelings of androids, and the lives they struggle to barely survive on the streets. Throughout the story, you slowly begin to see the world in a different light, and through that, you also learn what it means to become human. Who can you really trust when the humans seem more evil than the androids do? The lines blur between the good and the bad; the human, and the android. --- Genres of drama, action, and romance. It follows the direction of the main plot of Detroit Become Human, but I have added various sub plot lines and characters unique to this fanfiction. There is foul language in this story. This is a work of fanfiction based off the game Detroit: Become Human. The characters in the story are owned by David Cage and the creators of Detroit: Become Human. 'Purple Hearts' is a story told from my imagination and it is for entertainment purposes only.

How do you tell your best friend you love them? How do you know they feel the same? How do you stop your heart getting broken in the process? Honestly, in a place, you feel comfortable with the other and just take the risk. You don't unless they are an open book of emotions. Hearts are made to be broken; if it's not by them someone else will break it somehow. This is a situation for two pairs of best friends separated by the decades... In 1950 Corinne goes on a month long trip with her family to the Madison businesses, taking an aching heart with her. Add a slightly secretive father, fainting mother, three brothers with two of them looking to take over the business and a serving girl Elsie, you get a relatively normal posh family. Corinne's childhood friend Callum carries an aching heart while she is away and misses her presence. Him, Corinne and a few others have been clueless about how they have always felt for each other, the others knowing all along. So when the others give him an opportunity, Callum tells Corinne how he feels after a card game threat and a surprise night visit from Corinne. In 2015 being in a military family is hard, which is what Dae and Dustin know first hand. The pair of them have a ridiculous amount of connections, few being known like how Dae's mother served with Dustin's father throughout deployments. Dae had always pushed Dustin away when he wanted to get closer. On the run up to Valentine's day Dustin has a grand plan in which he hopes Dae manages to see how he feels. Presents appear in her locker, her dad gets back from deployment with a companion she was certain was not breathing and then a gift bag which Smoke doesn't react to which makes her suspicious. With your mum being trained as a bomb dog handler that's natural right? Even her dad is in on the plan. Will Dustin leave with the heart he's always wanted or will he get turned away again? Find the answers to these questions in this story!
