Tyler never felt wanted at school. Maybe it was because of her name, her eye color, or the same pair of old black high-top converse she wears to school everyday. She could never figure it out. She always wanted to feel accepted at school. Whether it was hanging out with the plastics, Chloe and Emily, or maybe she wanted a boy to accept her. She just needed someone to make her not feel alone. Even her only friends at school didn't fully accept her for who she is. Will she ever not feel untouched? What will change?

Tyler was sad. He was hurt, confused, angry, and scared, too, but most of all, he was sad. He didn't know if it was because he had been stuck in the same town for his entire life or it it was something a bit more serious, but that little uncertainty didn't stop him from applying to colleges all throughout the country and going to the one the furthest away from where he grew up. It wasn't the best choice he had made in his life, but suddenly there's this kid that shows up who dyes his hair a different color almost every month, and maybe, just maybe, he's the cure to Tyler's, well, whatever it is. This story is for all of you who don't know how strong and amazing you are, and for those of you who do. You have the power to do anything you can imagine. Use that power well.
