It began as a deception.

"Do you?"

A plot to take down a king.

"Yes. I helped him, once. You could say we're acquainted."

The Corinthian's smile stretched into a wider grin.

"Now," he said, "what can the Harbinger of Fear be doing with the former Lord of Dreams?"

Helping him take you down, motherfucker, was what I could not say.
