The last whispers of humanity have been recorded. Within the mnemonic chambers of the Museum of Living History, an android named Rinn scours the records in search of the truth of humanity's extinction, and who made this device referred to as "The Echo Drive."
Containing only the memories of past generations, she will have to connect their lives in order to find the machine's creator, and the reason behind the Echo Drive conception. Will she be able to understand what motivated an entire species who's souls were only quantified just before their fall?

Who and why are the crew of the Covenant here? And who are the other mysterious colonists which keep getting mentioned? Not all is what it appears to be within Paradise, and honestly, David doesn't find himself caring all that much.
