Pain.
Unbearable pain.
It seared through my body like a hot knife, ripping out what little strength I had left.
I could feel the merciless heat of the sun and a whirlwind of sand reducing my exposed skin to shreds. Prying my eyes open, I looked around as much as my aching neck would allow.
I could only think of one word to describe my surroundings.
Hell.
