Even love gods get tired of love. At least, Armand does. For an eternity, he's been in charge of making sure humans find the "one", when a completely unexpected call for help throws him off track.
Sylvia, a 27-year-old assistant professor of art history, is fed up with love. For three years, she's been in a relationship with Edgar, who is as egoistical as he's unfaithful. All she wants is to be rid of her feelings for him, but she can't find a way out of this toxic relationship. When she gets dangerously close to a suicide attempt, she begs the heavens to free her from love.
This isn't one of Armand's usual calls. Intrigued and eager to escape the eternal boredom in his office at "Clouds of Love", he rushes down to earth to save Sylvia before it's too late, but when he suddenly finds himself caught up in feelings for her, this is only the beginning of his problems.
His ill-tempered boss, Mr. Z, is threatening to strip him of his immortality, and his on-and-off lover Natalia, the sultry and sex-hungry goddess of revenge, is not at all amused that Armand is kicking her off his god-sized bed.
Add to the mix a jealous and violent Edgar, who is not willing to give up Sylvia, Armand is in more trouble than he can handle.
Forced to make a choice between love and immortality, he must learn to trust his heart, or lose his chance at happiness that might not last an eternity, but could be forever.

"So what's your type?" "What do you mean?" I pause, looking up from my book to meet the eyes of my dear friend. "Type of what?" She shakes her head with a chuckle. Her head then jerks to her boyfriend, busy trying to figure out a solution in his work. "What type of guy do you like?" "I don't really have one." I reply. "Come on, there must be something a guy does that catches your attention." My eyes casually glance around the courtyard, trying to figure out a quick response to her question. But then I hear a voice speak just to the right of us, Professor Abel happily talking to Mr. Levine. "Well?" "Older." I mumble. "Someone older." "Just older?" His deep grey eyes soften slightly in the sunlight. "Someone... colder too." "So you want someone as bad as Professor Abel?" My friend jokes poking my side with her fingers. I snap my head back to her, surprised at her question. To brush off the embarrassment I shrug my shoulders, faking a smile but my heart is pounding furiously. "Haha, very funny." It's as if our conversation has been leaked when my eyes rest back on the tall individual. The grey swirls are staring right back at me, his colleague oblivious of his wandering eyes. His expression is stern but in the light it seems as though his lips are curled up, making my stomach do a flip. "My type." Anthony stops at my bare shoulder and leans down to press a hot kiss onto the skin. "You can't say things like that.." He delivers another, this one to my collarbone and making my words grow weak, unconvincing ... even as they come from my own mouth. "We're supposed to be ... friends." Anthony is quiet at first, the only response I get being his free hand drifting over to cage my body into the small space between us. "I know .." He trails off. It goes dead silent for a second. "But I ... don't think that's enough for me, B." There's a sharp breath from me at the words and a flush of heat to my cheeks when Anthony pushes my hair over my shoulder. His actions expose me to him, showing off my bare shoulders in a way that's downright indecent as the straps pulled down now hang loosely off my arms. "I don't want .. to be just a friend to you." And then, there's another kiss to pair. Although it isn't a simple peck this time. It's an actual kiss now, slow and softly pressed onto my neck. Beatrix thought she'd never trust another guy again. After being burned, both physically and emotionally by her ex-boyfriend Rudy in her senior year of high school, Beatrix's trust in people is low. That is, until she transfers to the esteemed, private Highland University. It's a fresh start to give the girl what she wants most: A shot at normalcy. The plan is simple .. just keep her head down, study her ass off, try to become a functional person once again and hopefully make one friend or two. Everything was supposed to start over that year. She'd had high hopes of starting anew and faithfully prepared to blend in to the background. And the day goes well. Until she sits down in Spanish, where she meets Anthony Gamaro. After a slight misunderstanding, Beatrix finds herself in an odd friendship with the 20 year old football player. One that slowly helps her regain the confidence she'd long lost before.
