The rambling of a writer
[Me, complaining and contradicting all and everything written in every fanfiction created.] No hate, Just me, rambling about different topics in Fanfiction writing. Why? Because we all start somewhere, am I right? The good, the bad, the rightout clichès and the straight up delulu stuff. Note that I probably did most -if not all- of these things myself when writing, so be prepared of your beautiful cringefest and maybe learn a thing or two about writing a plot/story. Side note: Writing is a creative process, so... no shame in making any mistakes! We all have to start from somewhere! Side side note: Most of the things I talk about come either from my personal opinion OR from the things I've learned over the years. I've been writing since age ten and even did a Minor in creative writing whilst studying for my degree. Last side side side note: The fun is to read these chapters and then visit a random story on wattpadd. I guarentee you, you'll either groan in annoyance ance you can see these things or you giggle at how predictable things will get once you know some writer mistakes. Who Needs Friends?
There's been some in-fighting in the group, and those not involved decide upon a fun way to solve it. Well ... fun for them, at least. Pairing: Hongbin / Ravi Warnings: Language. Goofy plot. Well ... fun for them, at least. Once again, my favourite @doyouwannabthelight (AFF: areyoucuriousyeah) has decided to fuel my writing fire and send in a request! This time, with a prompt!! Anyway, this is goofy and weird and I don't know why my brain did this, but it was fun! Also, don't take the inclusion of their video show too seriously, I'd been addicted to old episodes and wanted to write in those interactions. I imagined this taking place in the more current stages of their existence, not so much early days, although I doubt it matters much. How To Write Marvel Fanfiction
What it says on the tin. Some ranting, some advice, some archaic reference, and a lot of cussing. My take on how I think fanfiction should be written and some of the biggest problems with it right now. Because I may not be the best at writing, but damnit I am the best at yelling about writing and rules I won't follow myself. More of a what not to do than a what to do sort of guide, really. Written for the GabeNath Reverse Bang 2023 challenge (cover art done by siren-drawing-stuff) The Kingdom of Lapia is strong and unshakable, just like its monarch. But under the surface, King Gabriel is consumed with grief. He masks it well, but this cold demeanor distances him from his son, leaving it Captain Nathalie's job to bring them back together. Having known the king since childhood, this should've been an easy task for the captain of the royal guard. But will the growing threat of the Akumas -a magic-wielding group they'd both cut ties with- make it impossible? Or could this be what reunites the royal family, and, perhaps, reveal buried feelings? Though surely in this society, a knight could never love her king.Complete
Prisimpad: A Guide to Wattpad, Writing, and Whatever
I will no longer be updating this guide. I'm leaving it up in case it will continue to be helpful to anyone in the future. People have asked me writing tips, Wattpad tips, and whatever. This is some of that advice I give them. Keep in mind most of this is my opinion in addition to things other people have taught me to do and not to do. Nod my Head - A Writing Guide for Wattpad Writers
Do you find yourself writing he nodded, she shook her head, he shrugged, over and over again? It gets tedious, and doesn't help at all when it comes to pin pointing your character's actual emotions. So I've made a book using notes I've been collecting over a few years to help you chose an alternative way to show that your character is angry, or sad, etc, plus many other writing tips and resources. Doesn't, he blinked at his watch, read better than, he looked at his watch ? Doesn't, he slugged across the wet cement, read better than, he walked down the street slowly. Avoid the white room in your story and replace telling with showing to give your readers a much better experience. **** When Alice storms across the room instead of walks, we know she's angry. We're expecting suspense. We're waiting for the next action. Maybe she'l punch a wall? Shout at her friend? Much better than, Alice walked across the room angrily, which gives your reader nothing to imagine.Complete
