Chemo Therapy during 3rd Period
Junior year was going pretty well. I was having so much fun till the start of second semester. Now instead of this life I had planned for myself. I was sitting in a hospital room staring out a window, with who knows what kind of toxins being pumped into my body to save me. People walked out on me. People walked into my life. Anyways, it didn't matter, for her illness was getting better and she could finally get back to school. Sophomore year. Gosh. She could finally be a normal teenager. Then she saw "him" in the school hallways. The boy. Although he seemed different, less warm, more cold. It was like he put up a façade and barricaded his true self. People don't understand me. I was just a small town girl who didn't know what to do. All because I was quiet, listened to punk, and always wore jackets to cover my scars, I was labeled as the 'Emo Freak'. I've been teased and hit. I've been abused by people at school, and by my mother, if that's what you can call her. My life is a mess. The only escape I had was music. All the bands I listened to provided a sense of comfort for me. Especially one band in particular by the name of All Time Low. I felt a major connection between the lyrics and the band. The New American Dream
"I see the world and it seems like I see it so differently than most other people. It makes me really angry most of the time. Especially since no one ever listens to me or what I've got to say. I try to express myself in so many different ways and no one sees it. When I sing a song people will only care about how the music sounds or how much I swore. If I paint, people will see the picture but not the meaning. It seems so obvious to me but everyone just seems to... close their eyes. Or at least shut off their brain. As if I see things they don't. But when they don't listen, how can I communicate that to them? It's so frustrating." Allie is a high school student and has big plans to make the world a better place. But her own head is pitting against her, throwing rocks in her path on a daily basis. Everything seems to be great for a while but what happens when her world suddenly comes crashing down around her? Names of bands, band members and song titles have been changed but at this point I want to credit mainly Palaye Royale, the band 'Homesick Soldiers' that is mentioned throughout is heavily based off them, but I'm sure if you're familiar with them you would have been able to tell that :)Concluida
Who am I living for?
I know it's probably weird for a girl who has cancer to be so well like me and all, but my family and I both agreed that I should live my life as long as I can. I mean of course when I get a cold it's more than just your typical cold and all, but that doesn't stop me from living my life. Even if I have cancer I am still a normal teenager, just one that has an experation date. So I'm starting this new thing where I make a video diary of what I have done the last 4-5 months of my life and then share it with my school so then they could see why I am so weird and care free.Concluida
