In a dystopian world plagued by a spreading disease, a girl destined for greatness, Amelia White, lives each day working towards one goal: a cure. Her efforts are thrown, and she begins to question everything after she wakes up one day, laid on a table in a lab she doesn't recognize, her memories wiped almost completely. When gunfire breaks loose, all she can manage to do is run through the path before her - a maze full of creatures she was sure only existed in nightmares. She fights for her chance at freedom, breaking free into a field of young men, her horror only fueled as she is told that she has just come into the center of a maze. As she helps the group of boys attempt to get out, she realizes that she may be more of an aid to their attempts than they thought, but one thing pricks at her mind: who was WICKD, and why were they the only words repeated in her head?
